This print is from an original painting from a solo show. My theme was about archeologists discovering Viking ships buried in ritual . Several Viking remains have been recovered from northern countries where they invaded and settled. When a chieftan died they were often buried in their ships with their treasures. This work was one of many paintings I made inspired by the Sutton Hoo Ship Burial, a major haul in 1940s in S.E. England.
